"Bond, James Bond."
Current news has informed the public of five (5) James Bond films slated for production. The current trend is to dramatize the secret agent exactly as portrayed by his author. Ian Fleming has at least three short stories not put on film.
The Property of a Lady ( radio broadcast ) is the story of a cipher clerk employed, by the Mi6 or Mi7 receiving a Russian antique emerald Fabergé. This intell sends James Bond to Southey's of London.
The Diamond Smugglers ( 1957 ) is the exciting story of the world's biggest smuggling leak – and the private intelligence entity created to plug it. A real-life assignment worthy of an Ian Fleming hero !!
The Hildebrand Rarity (1960) this story finds James Bond in the state of Florida. (Playboy Magazine 1960-03, p. 28)
Ian Fleming, the creator of James Bond, is probably today's most popular author of thrillers. His knowledge of international spy networks, the background both for his novels and for this exciting documentary, dates from his service as a Commander in Naval Intelligence and as foreign correspondent for Reuters and the London Sunday Times.
